Hi again,
I should start off by telling you that I don't consider Sunday part of the weekend. It is, in my book, Monday Eve and should be treated as a Monday. So my weekend is really Thursday, aka Friday Eve, Friday and Saturday.
Now that you have a little insight to my logic here is how it went. Thursday... Thursdays are pretty much dead. We do the normal make dinner, empty every toy box and destroy the house, have a bath and then get the kiddos to bed. Its pretty much every night but sometimes Thursdays can be fun.
Friday. Well... Friday was fun. The kiddos and I spent the day reading and watching cartoons. I had these awesome plans for some great art projects and every time I would get up to start it, we would get distracted soooo its been put off until this upcoming week. I ventured out to Stop and Shop to pick up a few things, which means I spent way too much money and still forgot what I went for... But I digress.
Friday Night, like many of my nights, I had a date with Netflix. I really love Netflix. I'm a fan of super cheesey, B-rated, low budget ghost movies so it totally works. Don't get me wrong, I love chick flicks, comedies and pretty much any movie but I have a special spot in my happy zone for bad movies.
As many other people have experienced, I usually spend more time looking for a movie than actually watching it. Friday was no exception. We ended up settling on The American with George Clooney....I'm still not quite sure how I feel about this movie. I know I won't watch it again however I would not quite rank it with Yellow Brick Road (2 hours of my life I will never get back).
Saturday. Well as I told you before I am trying to redo our house budget, scale back and blah blah blah. Ya, I threw that one right out the window today. I took the kids to the arcade at Mohegan Sun and even put them in the Kids Quest for an our to watch some live music. UGH I'm hanging my head thinking of all the wasted money but the kids loved it and I loved the break. I'm writing it off as a slip up and kicking myself back to gear for the upcoming week.
Tonight, we watched Hansel and Gretel, the MTV version on Netflix. I have to admit, it was much better than I expected. I don't mean to say that I'd go out any buy it but it was entertaining, made me laugh and had a good story line. A little gory for my tastes, but it was well placed.
Overall it was a nice weekend. But I have a check list for the week.
*Finish all Laundry and put it away (this should be done tomorrow)
*Pull out summer clothes for roadtrip (I'll tell you about this later)
*Finish sorting baby clothes
*Get Amber's room finished
*Clean Matthew's Room
*Make shopping lists and meal Plans
*De-Clutter living room
Wish me luck!
